Into December

Renovation continues on the second floor as daily we hear the pitter-patter of hammers and saws. Story Time will be held at 10 am on Dec 3 and 18. We will be closed on Christmas Day only. There are many Christmas books, videos, and music cds for borrow.

The Friends of the Library's Annual Cookie Sale has been scheduled for Saturday, December 6; 9 am to 1 pm when pre-ordered cookies may be picked up. $6 for 4 dozen.

The library was award two state grants in August, totalling nearly $133,000.
We plan to move ahead with bids on the project in October.

LIBRARY BUDGET VOTE PASSES

Many thanks to all of you who came out to support the library at our annual budget vote on May 20. The budget was approved by a vote of 301 to 226, and both trustees on the ballot were elected to new five year terms which will begin in July. The bond proposition passed by 2 votes. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of the library let me express our heartfelt appreciation for the community’s continued support of our library and we look forward to serving all of you in numerous ways in the coming year.

LIBRARY VOTE

On Tuesday, May 20 from noon to 8 pm at NCS, voting will take place for the library budget, trustees, and bond proposition.

  • Library Budget - increase of about $3,700. (less than 2 cents/1000)
  • Trustees - Gordan Gaiser & Janis Serfis
  • Bond Proposition - allows library to borrow UP TO $100,000 for the second floor renovation project

THERE IS NO EFFECT ON TAXES FOR THE BOND PROPOSITION.
Library will borrow only what is needed after state construction grants are received.
